My long weekend was so great! I went home to Summerland to spend Thanksgiving with my family. Thanksgiving has always been one of my favourite holidays since I love the fall, turkey dinners, and getting to spend quality time with the people I love.

I flew home on Thursday night, and on Friday I had time to relax and get some work done. On Saturday I helped my dad cook thanksgiving dinner, and then my cousins and grandma came over to have thanksgiving dinner with us. We also had a family spike ball tournament which everyone got really competitive about but it was still a lot of fun! It was so nice to see everyone again. On Sunday my family went to the pumpkin patch together to pick pumpkins to carve and put on our front steps. I also went on a long walk with my parents and my dog, it is so pretty around Summerland this time of year with all the leaves falling and the smell of apples everywhere from all the orchards. My dad made us another delicious dinner, I think my favourite part of coming home for holidays has to be getting cooked for!

I am flying home on Monday, I am sad to leave my family but I’m excited to come home again for Christmas. Victoria during the fall is so pretty as well so I’m excited to get to experience that again; especially since it’s been so warm and sunny recently. There is also Halloween to look forward to!
